Whether you volunteer, donate, or partner with us — there is a way for you to help ensure that no one in Airdrie has to grieve alone.

A community organisation in the fullest sense

Vibrant Health Advocates – Halley depends on the commitment, skills, and generosity of people in Airdrie and across North Lanarkshire who believe that no one should grieve alone. Whether you have professional skills to offer, lived experience you are ready to bring into a volunteering role, or simply the means to make a financial contribution, there is a way for you to be part of this work.

We welcome enquiries from individuals and from organisations interested in partnership, and we are always glad to hear from local businesses, faith communities, and statutory bodies who want to think with us about how to better support bereaved people in this area.

How you can make a difference

Each of the three paths below makes a real, concrete difference to bereaved people in Airdrie. None requires anything other than a genuine desire to help.

Volunteer

We train and support volunteer facilitators who run our listening circles, as well as volunteers who help with outreach, administration, and events. If you have warmth, reliability, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you. All training is provided — no prior experience in bereavement is required.

Express interest

Donate

Every pound we receive goes directly into sustaining free, accessible bereavement support for people in Airdrie. Donations of any size make a concrete difference — they fund facilitated circles, training for volunteers, and the coordinators who guide people through the most difficult days. No sum is too small and every gift is gratefully received.

Partner

We work alongside GP practices, funeral directors, faith communities, schools, and voluntary organisations to create a joined-up response to bereavement across North Lanarkshire. If your organisation wants to strengthen how it supports bereaved people, we would welcome a conversation about what partnership might look like.

Your involvement keeps the circles running

Vibrant Health Advocates – Halley is not a large organisation. We are a small team, a committed trustee board, and a pool of trained volunteers who believe that grief deserves proper company. Without the ongoing support of people and organisations in this community, the circles stop. The signposting appointments are not made. The bereaved person who did not know we existed never finds out.

Volunteering with us is structured and supported — you will never be left to figure things out alone. And every donation, no matter the size, goes directly into sustaining free services for people in Airdrie who have nowhere else to turn for this kind of human, unhurried support.
